The fate of the popular ride service Uber in Broward County could be determined Tuesday afternoon.
Broward County has been in an Uber blackout for 11 days, after the smart-phone app service for hailing rides withdrew in protest.
County commissioners reconvene Tuesday after a summer break. Unlike at their last meeting in June, a majority now appear willing to compromise. Three Uber-friendly proposals await debate Tuesday, as commissioners offer ways to bring it back.
"It definitely looks very promising,'' said Commissioner Marty Kiar, who is among those who've decided to change votes.
