Two women accused of shoplifting with three kids in tow

Two Oakland Park women brought three young children along when they shoplifted from a Pompano Beach store, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

Christine Nicole Aleksin, 27, and Jennifer Nicole Ingham, 28, were with a 2-year-old, 5-year-old, and 7-year-old when they went into the Wal-Mart at 2300 W. Atlantic Blvd. at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, detectives said.

When they all left the store, they were stopped in the parking lot by store security personnel, who found that the women had stolen items worth an estimated $693, according to arrest reports.

At their first appearance in bond court Wednesday, Aleksin and Ingham were charged with retail theft.
