Two people and a dog were found dead in a Fort Lauderdale building on Thursday morning, succumbing to what appears to be carbon monoxide poisoning, a fire-rescue official said.
The incident happened on the 14th floor of a residential building at 1010 Seminole Drive, across from The Galleria mall.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue's Hazmat team monitored the air in the building and evacuated the 14th through 18th floors, Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Heiser said.
The call firefighters responded to came in as a suicide attempt, he said.
