TAMPA, Fla., JUNE 6, 2018 – The USF baseball team saw two more players selected on the third and final day of the 2018 MLB Draft, bringing its total up to four for a second consecutive year.
In addition to first-round pick Shane McClanahan (Cape Coral, Fla.) and eighth-rounder Andrew Perez (Orlando), junior third baseman David Villar (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and junior second baseman Coco Montes (Miami) were taken on Day 3.
Villar was the second pick of the final day, going in the 11th round to the San Francisco Giants.
