Koepka, an All-American in 2013-14, averaged 71.4 strokes per round leading into the National Championships which began Friday, and owns a team-best 10 rounds in the 60's this season. The junior has three career individual championships, including a win at the Invitational at the Ocean Course to kick off the 2014-15 season.
Fernandes also averaged 71.4 strokes per round, edging Koepka by a single stroke in the team's 33 rounds prior to the NCAA Championships. The sophomore shot par or better 20 times prior to this week's tournament, and added a 69 (-3) in the second round of the championships Saturday, his 21st round of par or better.
