Tampa, Fla., Jan. 18, 2023 – The University of South Florida track and field senior Romaine Beckford was named the American Athlete Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Beckford finished first in the high jump at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational hosted by the Gainesville Sports Commission. The senior posted a jump of 2.21 meters (7-3), taking the lead in The American and posting the second-best jump in the country as of January 15.
The Bulls will travel to the PNC Bank Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Ky.
