MIAMI (Oct. 28, 2016)—The USF women’s tennis team is off to a hot start at the Panther Invitational with three Bulls advancing to the finals of doubles play.
In quarterfinal action of doubles play, all three USF pairs came out with victories. Nicole Dzenga and Vanja Klaric advanced to the finals after picking up a 6-4 quarterfinal victory over Illinois State’s Tere-Apsiah and Vujucic. In the semifinals, they defeated FIU’s Nagode and Markovic, 6-3. They will face another FIU pair in the finals on Saturday morning.
Brooke Lashway teamed up with FGCU’s Julianna Curtis for doubles play and moved into the finals after a 6-4 victory over FIU’s Veksler and Grib.
