TAMPA, SEPT. 26, 2018 – USF senior safety Jaymon Thomas (Immokalee) has been named a semifinalist for The National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame's William V. Campbell Trophy, which recognizes the best football scholar-athlete in the nation.
Thomas, the Bulls' starting safety who has recorded 131 career tackles, is on schedule to graduate in December with a 3.5 grade-point average in Health Sciences. He tied for the team lead with 11 tackles in the season opener and currently stands fourth on the team with 25 tackles.
A three-time academic all-conference team member, Thomas is also active in the community, including involvement in Boys and Girls Club of Tampa, Tampa Parks and Recreation KABOOM!
