Tampa Bulls’ run at the $2 million prize at The Basketball Tournament ended with an 84-76 loss to top-seeded Overseas Elite in the Super 16 in Brooklyn on Friday night. Overseas Elite, the two-time defending TBT champions, have never lost in this tournament.
Former Arizona guard Kyle Fogg led Overseas Elite with 19 points off the bench. Errick McCollum II, holder of the Chinese league’s single-game scoring record, added 14. Justin Burrell and D.J. Kennedy, who both played against USF while at St. John’s, each scored 11.
Dominique Jones again led all scorers with 26 points for Tampa Bulls.
