One of the biggest questions for USF entering the early signing period was whether or not they would land three-star Tampa Bay Tech quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
They got their answer Wednesday afternoon as the highly sought after hometown kid decided to take his talents to Bloomington and sign with Indiana.
After decommiting from Tennessee, the 813 product was being heavily targeted by Strong's staff at USF and Willie Taggart's staff at Florida state.
In the end, he went with another coach with heavy USF ties, joining former Bulls defensive coordinator and current IU head coach Tom Allen.
