A former cosmetic surgeon, accused of botching a procedure that left a patient with a deformed penis, is also facing charges of possessing and trafficking in prescription drugs, court records show.
Broward Sheriff's detectives served an arrest warrant at the Tamarac home of Mark David Schreiber, 60, on July 31 for a Miami-Dade case accusing him of practicing medicine without a license and causing serious injury.
While Schreiber's home was being searched, detectives found prescription medicines and equipment that indicated he was still performing surgical procedures, according to the investigative report read at Schreiber's first appearance in court Thursday.
