On the day USF confirmed it has surpassed 4,000 ticket sales for the Miami Beach Bowl, two significant measures were enacted to continue the momentum.
One arrives courtesy of Willie Taggart's wallet.
The Bulls third-year coach, who recently agreed in principle to a new five-year deal, announced he will reimburse the first 500 USF students who purchase a ticket for the Dec. 21 game at the student-discount rate of $20. The gesture includes those students who already have purchased a ticket.
“I just want to say thank you to all the USF students that made (Raymond James Stadium) rock this season and I can’t wait to see them all in Miami and turn Marlins Park into Ray Jay South,” Taggart said in a USF news release.
