Bulls backup OL Benjamin Knox, arrested in Sunday's wee hours and charged with two firearms-related felonies, remains indefinitely suspended from all team activities, Coach Willie Taggart said Tuesday.
Knox, 21, was charged with firing multiple gunshots that hit the exterior of a campus residence hall hours after coming off the bench in the Bulls' 45-24 home victory against Syracuse. He was released Monday afternoon from Hillsborough County jail on $32,500 bond.
"To hear what happened, you’re like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,'" Taggart said Tuesday in his first extensive public comments since the incident.
