USF coach Willie Taggart reportedly was among three prominent current or former coaches set to interview Friday for the vacancy at South Carolina.
Sports Illustrated's Pete Thamel reported Taggart, Arizona's Rich Rodriguez and former Bucs coach Greg Schiano as those interviewing Friday. Former Gators coach and Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp reportedly also is set to interview.
Taggart, 39, attended the Bulls' practice Friday morning, which ended just before 11, but didn't speak with reporters.
Taggart, whose breakthrough third season at USF (8-4) is expected to culminate with a formal invitation Sunday to the Miami Beach Bowl, is wrapping up Year Three of a five-year deal he signed Dec.
