TAMPA, AUG. 13, 2016 – USF made plays on both sides of the ball in Saturday’s sun-filled scrimmage, but it was the defense that stood out on the hot morning.
Freshman safety Craig Watts set the tone with an early interception and defensive coordinator Raymond Woodie’s swarming group stalled several drives with stops. All of that was accomplished with head coach Willie Taggart orchestrating situations by constantly switching downs and distances USF will face throughout real games.
