Unnecessary false teeth for hundreds of elderly South Florida patients are at the root of a fraud investigation into two married dentists who practice out of a Sunrise clinic, court documents say.
Marino Vigna and Beth Reinstein are suspected of billing Medicaid for dentures for patients who either did not need false teeth or never received them. Many of the alleged patients had dementia and lived at nursing homes in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Homestead, according to a search warrant obtained by the Sun Sentinel.
Neither Vigna, 48, nor Reinstein, 49, who live in Parkland and operate Sunrise Dental Clinic, 5975 W.
