Police Chief Dwayne Flournoy remains under investigation nearly two months after a union attorney sent a missive to City Hall accusing him of a bar fight, drunken driving and stalking a woman in 2010.
City Hall has hired a retired Miami-Dade police captain to look into the claims. The investigation will cost an estimated $24,000.
Now the union's attorney has unearthed details of the alleged stalking.
Arguing that Flournoy is unfit to serve, union attorney Tony Alfero points to the chief's dogged pursuit of a Medley police officer that led to stalking allegations and a temporary restraining order filed against him in June 2010.
