NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 14, 2016 – Senior Lee Ann Spivey won’t see her softball career come to an end after graduation as she was drafted 33rd overall in the National Professional Fastpitch Draft by the Houston Scrap Yard Dawgs in the fifth round.
“I’m super excited to be playing with Sara Nevins again and having a chance to catch her, as well as getting to know some new teammates,” Spivey said. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to continue pursuing my passion.”
Spivey joins an extensive list of NPF players from USF and is the first since 2013 to be drafted.
