TAMPA, Fla., December 19, 2023 – University of South Florida junior center back Brian Schaefer was selected on Tuesday in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. Schaefer was selected in the first round and was the 27th overall pick and is the 27th player in program history to be taken in the MLS SuperDraft.
