Tampa, Fla., March 9, 2024 – University of South Florida track and field student-athlete Abdul-Rasheed Saminu has been named a men's 60m dash First Team All-American, the first South Florida track First Team All-American since David Aristil in 2012 (outdoor 400m hurdles).
Saminu finished eighth (6.69) in the men's 60m dash final, he ran as the program's first-ever men's track finalist for the NCAA Indoor Championship.
Shevioe Reid was named a men's 200m dash Second Team All-American after he finished 11th in the men's 200m NCAA Championship semi-final yesterday. Reid's time marked the best finish in a men's 200m NCAA Championship in program history.
