Storrs, Conn. – Nov. 10, 2024 – South Florida women's basketball (2-1) fell, 86-49, to No. 2/2 UConn (2-0) at Gampel Pavilion on Sunday evening.
Mama Dembele finished the night with 12 points, five assists, and two steals. Sammie Puisis (10 points) scored her third straight game in double-figures.
Paige Beckers led UConn with 22 points and one of three Huskies to put up double-digit points.
HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED
At the conclusion of the first frame, back-to-back 3-pointers from Dembele and Puisis cut UConn's lead to four points before Sarah Strong made a driving layup.
