TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 27, 2022 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team fell to the Central Florida Knights on Thursday night in Corbett stadium. The Bulls will be the No. 2 seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
With the No. 2 seed spot on the line, the Bulls came out ready to fight. Defensively, both teams were locked in. In the 16th minute, Central Florida's Dayana Martin found a small window by Sydney Martinez (Rincon, Ga.) and gave the Knights the 1-0 lead.
With the first half winding down, South Florida's Chiara Hahn (Lauterbach, Germany) charged the ball down the field, faked out the Knight's defender for a shot, narrowly going above the goal.
