South Florida is headed to the Miami Beach Bowl, sources told ESPN.
Under third-year coach Willie Taggart, USF rebounded from a 1-3 start to win seven of its last eight regular-season games and finish 8-4. The Bulls will play a team from Conference USA, most likely Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers host Southern Miss on Saturday for the C-USA title.
South Florida will be making its first bowl appearance since 2010.
This is the second year for the Miami Beach Bowl, which was created and is owned by the American Athletic Conference.
