TAMPA, March 2, 2023 – The University of South Florida softball team opened the Bulls Invitational with a 4-2 win over the Kansas Jayhawks on Thursday evening.
(Sugarloaf, Pa.) opened the scoring with a two-RBI single in the bottom half of the first inning after a six-pitch at-bat. (Orange, Texas) and (Forest Hills, Md.) crossed the plate.
Kansas led off the fourth inning with a solo home run to cut the Bulls lead in half. They loaded the bases with back-to-back singles and an intentional walk.
(Smyrna, Del.), who earned the start for USF, locked in and got the first out with a strike swinging.
