TAMPA, Jan. 15, 2019 – Head coach Ken Eriksen has added Team Japan to the USF softball 2019 schedule. The game is slated for Monday, Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. at the USF Softball Stadium.
Eriksen, who also leads the United States National Team, has been facing the Japanese National Team for over a decade. This past summer, the U.S. Women's National Softball Team went undefeated, facing Japan in the International Cup, World Championship and the Japan Cup. The Eagles won gold in all three tournaments under Eriksen's leadership.
Team Japan is touring the United States this spring and will take on USF as one of three Division I opponents during its tour.
