The eyesore of a shelter that made Hollywood ground zero for legions of homeless is heading for a fall.
The new owner of the 27-year-old Homeless Voice building, the city of Hollywood, will demolish the structure Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Former owner Sean Cononie, who sold the shelter to the city for millions, will watch from the sidelines.
So will Hollywood's mayor and commissioners, who claim the closing of the shelter will make way for something better along the Federal Highway corridor.
"This building truly will not be missed," Commissioner Patty Asseff said. "It did not represent our city.
