Smoke from a 200-acre brush fire in southwest Miami-Dade County was being blown into southwest Broward County, the National Weather Service said.
The fire was burning Sunday near Southwest 162nd Avenue and Southwest 42nd Street sending plumes of dark smoke north into Kendall, Sweetwater, Doral and other nearby areas.
The fire caused road closures throughout the area. Residents reported that Southwest 157th Avenue was shut down between Coral Way and Eighth Street, and Eighth Street was closed west of 157th Avenue, according to the National Weather Service.
