A sleeping man was jolted awake and slightly injured early Tuesday when a car slammed into a home and ended up half inside and half outside the structure.
"Luck was on his side, he's lucky to be alive today," said Jeff Levy, division chief for Lauderhill Fire-Rescue about the unidentified man in his 20s.
The man had been sleeping in a front room of the house at 4920 NW 16 Ct. when a Honda sedan broke through the wall shortly before 7 a.m.
According to Levy, the car had been parked in the circular driveway across the street.
