Simpson Nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year

TAMPA (June 22, 2016)— Jackie Simpson, a recent USF women’s soccer alum, was selected as USF’s nominee for the 2016 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. She is the second women’s soccer player to be nominated in the last three years as Catherine Leibbrandt was the American Athletic Conference nominee for the award in 2014

The NCAA Woman of the Year award honors graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in academics, athletics, service and leadership.

Simpson was honored earlier this season as the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year after a stellar season that included four goals.
