A man who is not wearing any clothes has been on top of a raised railroad bridge in downtown Fort Lauderdale since before 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
The Florida East Coast railway drawbbridge over the New River is located along the 100 block of Southwest Second Street, just west of Andrews Avenue.
At least one witness who frequently jogs in the area recognized the man on the bridge as a local homeless person.
Rescue crews from Fort Lauderdale and the Broward Sheriff's Office were at the scene trying to determine a strategy to safely get the man down.
