Gonzaga transfer Angel Nunez, a 6-foot-8 senior forward who visited USF over the weekend, reportedly has given his commitment to the Bulls.
ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported Monday afternoon that Nunez, a 23-year-old New York City native who began his college career at Louisville, has chosen USF. The Tampa Bay Times reported his weekend visit Sunday.
If he graduates this spring as expected, Nunez would be eligible for his final season immediately. He becomes the second transfer to join Coach Orlando Antigua's program this offseason, joining former Texas A&M/junior college G Shawn Smith.
Though considered an athletic low-post player, Nunez never found solid playing time in Gonzaga's talent-clogged frontcourt, averaging no more than seven minutes in his two seasons.
