USF basketball's offseason roster changeover continues, as the Bulls lose a shooter and gain a scholarship.
According to Alex Kline over at The Recruit Scoop, rising sophomore guard Dinero Mercurius will transfer from USF. Mercurius will likely have to sit out the 2015-16 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
The news makes sense, given that Orlando Antigua is still on the recruiting trail despite graduate transfer Angel Nunez filling the Bulls' 13th and final scholarship this weekend. I expect we'll receive confirmation from USF soon.
Apart from being one of the best-named players in USF basketball history, Mercurius was a Stan Heath recruit who saw a decent amount of action at shooting guard in Orlando Antigua's first season.
