Former University of Denver forward Sam Hines Jr announced on Saturday that he will be transferring to USF to continue his basketball career. The addition of Hines is one that should kick start the rebuilding process for USF men’s basketball.
Hines is making his way to USF from the Summit League’s University of Denver, where he started in 18 of 20 games played for the Pioneers. The 6’6 forward averaged 29 minutes and 10.6 points per game last season. He also collected 5.8 rebounds per game, while blocking 11 shots and accumulating 12 steals throughout the season.
