#PortalWatch: UNC-Wilmington Guard Jake Boggs Commits to USF Men’s Basketball

One of the top three-point shooters in the country announced his intentions to transfer to USF men’s basketball over the weekend, with Jake Boggs from UNC-Wilmington set to come to Tampa.

Boggs is making his way to Tampa by way of UNC-Wilmington, a Colonial Athletic Association member who struggled to get games scheduled last season. In all, the Seahawks had 14 games get postponed or canceled, leading to a month long break in February. Despite these delays, Boggs saw playing time in all 17 games and started all but one contest. For his sophomore season, Boggs shot 47% on all field goals, including 43% from beyond the arc (25 of 57) and averaged 10.
