On the eve of the early signing period for college football, USF picked up their third transfer so far this offseason with North Carolina quarterback Cade Fortin announcing his intention to jump to USF.
As a recruit, Cade was a three to four-star Pro-Style quarterback from Suwanee, GA and missed most of his senior year of high school due to injury. His junior season saw him throw for 1,841 yards and 16 TDs while adding three rushing touchdowns on his way to leading his North Gwinnett Bulldogs to a state championship victory in Georgia.
His time at UNC saw him make an appearance in four games and two starts in replacement for seasoned starter Nathan Elliott in 2018.
