After a sloppy first half on the road at Tulsa, the USF Women’s basketball team erupted down the stretch to down the Golden Hurricane 63-35 on Wednesday.
The No. 21 Bulls (6-1, 3-0 AAC) got the jump early, opening with a 7-0 run to start game and holding Tulsa (1-3, 0-3) scoreless until the 4:56 mark of the first. However, both teams squandered a number of opportunities on the offensive end with sloppiness and turnovers with the Bulls shooting only 26 percent from the field and the Golden Hurricane shooting 13 percent.
These problems would continue well into the second with both teams continuing to struggle to find a rhythm from the field.
