Two teen boys disappeared after leaving for a fishing trip off Jupiter's shores on their own, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The friends, Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen, both 14, were last seen about 1:30 p.m. Friday buying $110 worth of fuel in the Jupiter area, authorities said.
They were reported missing about 5 p.m. Friday. The pair is known to fish often.
On Saturday, rescue crews continued to search for the boys' 19-foot, white, single-engine vessel by air and sea as far north as Melbourne's coast. The Coast Guard had covered about 5,300-square nautical miles by Saturday morning.
