USF Men's Tennis has has promoted assistant coach Ashley Fisher to head coach following the departure of Matt Hill to Arizona State, Athletic Director Mark Harlan announced on Tuesday.
The Wales native joined the Bulls coaching staff in 2016 after an impressive professional doubles career that spanned 13 years. Turning pro in 1998, Fisher claimed four ATP Doubles Titles from 2003 to 2008 with three different doubles partners.
Fisher also played doubles in 41 grand slam tournaments and reached the semifinal of the US Open in 2006. He also reached the quarterfinals at the Australian Open in 2006 and Wimbledon in 2004, while making the third round of the French Open in 2009.
