TAMPA, OCT. 24, 2017 – The University of South Florida men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw Tuesday night when it took on FGCU in nonconference action at Corbett Stadium. Gonzalo Rodriguez scored the equalizer in the 35th minute.
USF (6-5-3) played four games in 12 days which led to 17 players seeing action Tuesday night. A new look to the starting line-up that included five newcomers battled a veteran FGCU squad for 110 minutes. FGCU (6-5-3) took an early lead in the 17th minute of the contest. The Eagles were awarded a penalty kick and Albert Ruiz converted the shot for a 1-0 lead.
