A man was barricaded in a house in Deerfield Beach after he ditched the car with two kids inside it and ran from deputies, triggering a SWAT situation.
The incident was unfolding Monday morning at 4070 NW 3rd Terr., according the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gina Carter said in a news release that deputies tried to pull over a car at NW 42 Court and 3rd Avenue. The driver put his car in park and ran, Carter said.
Two infants were left in the car. Their ages were not yet known.
The man darted into a nearby home at 4070 NW 3rd Terr.
