Police are investigating a shooting that happened in a parking lot at Fort Lauderdale beach late Wednesday night and sent a man to the hospital.
The preliminary police investigation found that a man was discovered wounded in the parking lot at 400 Seabreeze Blvd. shortly after 11 p.m., and he was in critical condition, Det. Tracy Figone said Thursday.
A fire department spokesman said the agency took a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to Broward Health Medical Center.
Suspects and a possible motive were not known, Figone said.
The shooting happened just south of East Las Olas Boulevard, in the parking lot along A1A.
