An autopsy was being performed Thursday morning on an 11-month-old baby that was left in a hot SUV after two parents and four older siblings unloaded groceries from their Ford Explorer SUV, police said.
"The child was in the car at least an hour," Lauderhill Police Lt. Gregory Solowsky said Thursday.
The family -- that police expect to identify later in the day -- live at in an apartment complex on the 3100 block of Northwest 19th Street.
Police arrived to the home at 6:31 p.m. Wednesday to find the parents "frantically doing CPR when we got there," Solowsky said.
