IRVING, Texas (March 22, 2021) – Following a series win over Florida Atlantic, the University of South Florida's Carmine Lane (Lake Placid) has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Lane hit .462 (6-for-13) with three walks over four games last week. The redshirt freshman recorded one double, a homer, five RBI and five runs score in total. In each of USF's two wins against FAU, Lane tallied a pair of hits. Lane's two-run homer in the first inning against FAU on Saturday accounted for the game-winning runs in a 4-0 victory.
