South Florida home sales are sizzling, even as buyers and real estate agents complain about the lack of inventory.
Broward County totaled 1,726 existing single-family sales in June, a 21 percent increase from a year ago and the largest number in a single month countywide since at least 1994, according to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors and the Florida Realtors trade groups.
Broward's median home price last month was $302,750, up 8 percent from a year ago and the highest since 2008, figures from the trade groups show.
Palm Beach County posted 1,901 sales in June, 16 percent higher than a year ago and also the most in one month since at least 1994, according to the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches and Florida Realtors.
