A Hollywood cop staying at a Residence Inn was bound with bedsheets and robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning, Plantation police said.
The two robbers also clobbered the cop in the head with the butt of a gun and hooded him with a pillowcase before taking off with cash and property, said Detective Philip Toman, a spokesman for the Plantation Police Department.
Images of the two suspected robbers entering the hotel lobby at 130 N. University Drive before the 6:30 a.m. robbery were captured on surveillance video.
The Hollywood officer answered a knock at the door, thinking it was his wife.
