FORT LAUDERDALE — A reported robbery at a jewelry store in the Galleria mall led to a police chase Sunday afternoon.
Five suspects led police on a chase on westbound Sunrise Boulevard to southbound Interstate 95, where the gray or silver SUV continued into Miami-Dade County. Reports indicate the vehicle got off the interstate at 79th Street and went east.
A Broward Sheriff's helicopter was overhead, reports said.
Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating what was reported to be an armed robbery at the Mayors jewelry store in the Fort Lauderdale mall on Sunrise Boulevard just east of the Intracoastal Waterway.
