A school resource officer who punched a student in the face and took his cellphone following a school fight is to be suspended without pay for two days.
In another case, an officer has been reprimanded — while five other police department employees are still being investigated — for accessing a confidential data base to get information on a superior who has since become head of the Broward County Schools police force.
The city's Citizens Police Review Board supported the conclusions of both internal affairs cases at its meeting this month.
