The Bulls will get a nice secondary boost as a former Tampa standout returns home.
ESPN's Joe Schad reported today that former Wisconsin Badgers safety and Plant High School alum Austin Hudson will be transferring to USF. Hudson played in all 14 games for the Badgers last season as a true freshman and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining after sitting out a year.
Hudson is a very good get for Taggart and company. He was a low three-star recruit out of Plant with offers from Georgia and Missouri as well as the Badgers, but worked his way into the rotation at safety as a true freshman and racked up 19 tackles along with a sack and forced fumble.
