Former USF football star wide receiver, Rodney Adams, was placed on the Reserve/Retired list by the Indianapolis Colts on Monday evening, signaling the end of his football career.
The St. Pete native was originally selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round (170th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, but did not see game action as he was waived and sent to the practice squad in Week 8 of the regular season.
Adams was signed by the Colts to a reserve/future contract in February of this year, before announcing his intentions to no longer play.
In three seasons at USF, Adams played in 36 games and caught 16 touchdowns, good for second in school history.
