TAMPA, Fla., August 4, 2023 – Former University of South Florida women's soccer student-athlete, Trudi Carter, and Jamaica have advanced to the Round of 16 in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Carter (2015-16) was one of four former South Florida players to play in this year's World Cup, joining Olivia Chance (2012-15) for New Zeeland, Cristin Granados (2012-13) for Costa Rica and Evelyne Viens (2016-19) for Canada. All four Bulls played under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. USF women's soccer tied for eighth in the NCAA with its four players in the 2023 World Cup.
